Celebrating Leadership Growth: New Executive Promotions in Technology and HR at St. Paul’s Senior Services

St. Paul’s Senior Services Celebrates Executive Promotions in Technology and Human Resources

San Diego, CA (July 8, 2025) — St. Paul’s Senior Services is thrilled to announce the promotions of Mark Valladolid to Vice President of Technology & Innovation and Cory Fish to Vice President of Human Resources. Both leaders have been instrumental in shaping the organization’s growth, strengthening infrastructure, and fostering a mission-driven culture. In their new roles, Mark and Cory will oversee their respective departments across St. Paul’s Senior Services and its affiliate, TRU Community Care, driving innovation, alignment, and operational excellence throughout the system.

Mark Valladolid: Vice President of Technology & Innovation

With 25 years of experience in Information Technology, Mark Valladolid joined St. Paul’s in 2012 as the organization’s first-ever IT Manager. Over the past decade, he has been a driving force behind modernizing the organization’s technology infrastructure, most notably leading the implementation of an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system across all residential communities in 2014–2015. This initiative required more than $200,000 in upgrades, completed in just six months with a small team of two.

Since then, Mark has expanded the IT department to a seven-member team and supported the launch of multiple new locations, including all St. Paul’s PACE sites and The Manor on Bankers Hill. Holding certifications in Cisco Networks and Cybersecurity, he continues to oversee both day-to-day IT operations and long-term strategic planning.

“What has kept me at St. Paul’s all these years is the people—the incredible team I get to work with—and the mission we share,” said Valladolid. “I’m results-driven and empowered to make a real impact, and that’s rare.”

In his new role, Mark will focus on pushing the boundaries of technology-driven care, expanding innovative solutions beyond traditional PACE and residential services, and exploring emerging technologies to transform the aging experience.

Cory Fish: Vice President of Human Resources

Cory Fish joined St. Paul’s in January 2017, bringing over 20 years of Human Resources experience, including more than a decade in executive leadership. His strategic oversight has strengthened every facet of the HR department—from employee relations to recruiting, retention, and benefits administration.

A key highlight of Cory’s leadership includes the successful implementation and ongoing optimization of Dayforce, St. Paul’s Human Resources Information System (HRIS). Under his direction, the department transitioned fully paperless in 2018, integrating payroll, benefits, recruiting, compensation, performance management, and learning into a single streamlined platform.

“This won’t surprise anyone in HR, but I truly love the people here—the ones I work with, for, and alongside,” said Fish. “HR may not provide direct care for seniors, but we care deeply about those who do, and that makes our work meaningful.”

As Vice President, Cory will focus on unifying HR teams across St. Paul’s and TRU Community Care, enhancing systems, and transforming the employee experience through mentorship, professional development, and data-driven strategies that empower teams at every level.

“Both Cory and Mark have helped shape who we are today and who we aspire to become,” said Michael McHale, President and CEO of St. Paul’s Senior Services. “Their promotions reflect their dedication, leadership, and the essential role their departments play in supporting our mission to transform the aging experience.”

St. Paul’s Senior Services congratulates Cory Fish and Mark Valladolid on their well-earned promotions and looks forward to the continued innovation, leadership, and heart they will bring to their new roles.
